After our ten-day Vegas honeymoon, Josh and I spent a couple of days in Windsor with my dad. After spending some good time with him, it wasn't long before we found ourselves hugging him goodbye, and heading to Prince Edward Island. The island is where Josh grew up and where is family is. Josh's mom Teresa is throwing us a reception/benefit at the hall in Murray River, which we are looking forward to. We'll be staying in the 'Land of Anne' until we head to Cambodia which will hopefully be in a few weeks. Until then, this is very valuable time of research and study of the country and culture. I am also enjoying the beginning of my and Josh's marriage, as today we are married for 2 weeks. People say that the first year of marriage is most difficult, so we might as well throw ourselves into a foreign country as well!
I am currently fascinated with the book of Acts and am paying attention to people and places like I never have. It is really like reading it all for the first time, and studying just shows itself to be so worthwhile. I believe it is God who illuminates scriptures during study and while we can acquire knowledge, God gives us the wisdom of what to do with that knowledge.
