Before one of the Bible studies, one of the guys dropped of a hamster to us which has provided much entertainment and enjoyment for us. He's funny. Maybe it's challenging and preparing us for parenthood? Who knows.
We have also been on a quest to find a camera that we are really satisfied with. The quest started in Cambodia with a Sony Cybershot DSC H10; then we recently upgraded to a Pentax Optio X90, but we realized this was not exactly what we were looking for either, so we even more recently upgraded to an Olympus EVOLT E-420 which is my first DSLR. High quality pictures are very important to us, and we hope our search has ended, for awhile.
And the daily, minute by minute, process of dying to self and simplifying our life continues as well. Sometimes I look at how much we have and get unsettled. Even though we own very little I still see what we do own as a burden rather than a blessing. Francis of Assisi has been attributed with saying, "Riches prick us with a thousand troubles in getting them, as many cares in preserving them, and yet more anxiety in spending them, and with grief in losing them." It always seems near the forefront of my mind.
