Heymans & I had a great day yesterday. I slept in while Heymans worked. Then he picked me up at 1pm and we cruised'er to St Catharines where we stopped in at the Scott St Manor. This was the nursing/group home where we did church all throughout Bible College. Things had changed, but not as much as they had stayed the same. Kay had passed on, and Susan had fallen a month or so ago and broken her hip. There were some new faces, and we got aquainted. It was a time of reminiscing and the sort. We love the Manor.
Then we visited the Karanfilis'. This couple is among my very favorites in the world. I lived with them during Bible College. Their son is 1.5 yrs old, and getting bigger by the minute! (On a side note, I also ran into Johanna, my other roomate at the time, while we were out at Joe Feta's!)
After that, we met up Pastor George and Marilyn Woodward and went to eat at Joe Feta's. It is always an insightful event to sit and pick their brains, and this time was no different. Russia's door seems to have creaked open a hair, and I'll give a push and see what happens.
Over all, it was one of the best daily visitation days of my life.
In a few moments, Heymans will pick me up and take me across the US border to the train station in Niagara Falls, NY. From there I will be off to Albany, where Jenny and HH await.
