Alright, if you are in Charlottetown tomorrow evening and don't already have plans, head on over to Maritime Christian College (right across the road from UPEI on University Ave) and hear Jenny & I present on 'foreign missions'. It is open to the public, free of charge, and you are gonna hear some awesome stories from Cambodia, Mozambique, and Russia. Who knows, we may even sign you up to get yourself overseas! At 6pm the doors will open for coffee (maybe tea?) and snacks, then at 6:30pm we'll do a few songs of worship and Jenny & I will get down to business. Jenny will share on our experiences in Cambodia, and I will share on missions in southeastern Africa and Russia. There will be a time of Q&A, so prepare some good ones and really challenge us! Because of time restraints I imagine this presentation will be very experientially focused, and not too heavy on statistics, methodology, or theology (which is vitally important, but takes a loooong time to communicate). In other words, lots of stories and pictures. We would love to see you (and all your friends) there. Add Comment a voice for the poor 21/06/2010
![]() Yesterday I had the honor of sharing about the poor and foreign missions at Community Worship Centre in Stratford, Prince Edward Island. It was an awesome time ( in my opinion) and I tried to present an overview balanced with cool stories and hard sayings. We tend to forget about foreign missions when missionaries don't come and speak. The poor are convenient to forget about because they make us feel incredibly uncomfortable. As Christians though, we have a great responsibility to the poor and ones without a witness of Jesus in the world. I hope I made the small crowd a little more accountable to themselves (and their possessions) during my time with them. You can view video of the message -->HERE<-- |
